"Fragmentary remains of a fern, provisionally referred to this species, are represented in several of the collections; but none of the specimens are sufficiently well preserved for satisfactory identification.
Similar fragmentary remains from the Atane beds of Greenland, referred to this species, are described and figured by Heer (1874) (p. 93, pl. 26, figs. 1, 1b, 1c) and more complete specimens from the Raritan formation of New Jersey, are provisionally referred to the species by Newberry (1895 [1896]) (p. 41, pl. 4, figs 1 - 11)."
