Description

From Moiseeva (2012) (p. 75)

"Fruits and fragments of paniculate infructescence: in a raceme there are 10 to 12 fruits with short thick stalks. Raceme fragments with axes 2–3 mm thick are up to 5–6 cm long. Partially paired follicular fruits are spirally arranged, thickly in the upper part of raceme, where one partially overlaps another, but sparser underneath, with intervening intervals of about 1 cm.

Follicles elliptic to elliptic-ovate, with tapered, commonly acute apex, narrowing to the base, almost round in cross-section, 1.5–2.2 cm long and 0.7–1.0 cm wide. Their external surface is finely ribbed lengthwise; seeds transversely striated on the inner side. Follicle stalks short, 2–5 mm long and about 2 mm thick."
