This is a redesigned CLAMP website that hopefully is simpler to use. The original CLAMP methodology that used spreadsheets to calculate results based on third party software is now relegated to the Legacy pages, leaving the main part of this website focussed on analyses using CLAMP online.

We have also introduced new calibrations built around the high spatial resolution (~ 1km) WorldClim2 gridded climate data (Fick and Hijmans, 2017). The physiognomic data remain the same as in the previous incarnations of CLAMP, although we have renamed many of the files for consistancy throughout the site using file names featured in recent publications.

We also now offer online analysis of the calibration for the southern hemisphere (PhysgSH) as described in Kennedy et al. (2014).

Global physiognomic data (e.g. PhysgGlobal378) is no longer supported in the online analysis options.

The earlier meteorological station (point) data of Wolfe (1993) and low spatial resolution gridded data based on New et al. (1999) for CLAMP calibrations are no longer available online. This is because they have been superceded by more recent climate data gridded at higher spatial resolutions.
