Description
Leaf: simple; symmetrical; wide ovate; apex obtuse; base missing; margin dentate, teeth with acute apices and rounded sinuses, irregular in size and spacing; venation suprabasal (?) perfect actinodromous; primary midvein moderate more or less straight; pectinal veins arising at an angle of 30-35°, straight; pectinal abmedials moderate, arising at angles of 25-30°, branched usually once, but sometimes more often, before terminating in the apices of the marginal teeth; superior secondary veins arise at angles of 25° from the midvein more or less straight, branched abmedially once or twice, secondaries and branches terminating in the apices of marginal teeth; tertiary veins convex percurrent joining both ad- and abmedial sides of the secondary veins at acute angles.
Remarks
Details of the fine venation and the venation within the teeth of this specimen are not preserved. Nevertheless the gross venation shows a definite similarity to that found in the Hamamelididae.
