This interactive catalogue brings together for the first time illustrations of many thousands of plant fossils from Alaska and Northeastern Russia that represent ancient Arctic forests and the Lost World of the Arctic. The fossils are Cretaceous and Paleocene in age and as such are from times when global climate was warmer than now. They provide a unique archive for understanding the past and possible future evolution of the Arctic, both geologically and biologically.
Images of the fossils and information on where they were found can be accessed through interactive maps, or navigating the site by means of tables of taxonomic names (if known), museum collections or the collectors and researchers who worked on them.
