Locality 85JTP14

This is an exposure of the Lower Killik Tongue of the Chandler Formation of Chapman et al. (1964), now the upper part of the lower half of the Nanushuk Formation of Mull et al. (2003), consisting of a sandstone and shale succession. The sandstones are crossbedded with pronounced pebble stringers, ripple marks, abundant water-worn wood fragments, and are often rooted. Unidentified platanoid leaves were found as float at the base of the cliffs. No other plant fossils were seen.
