Cretaceous (Cenomanian-Turonian) plant fossils were collected from Nelson and Nunivak Islands by Union Oil in the 1970,s but the precise locality information is missing. However, below is a map showing the distribution of Cretaceous rocks in the area from Wilson et al. (2015).
